Sprinting to the Start Line
In January 2020 my family and I relocated to Sydney, Australia. I'd received the opportunity of a lifetime to set up and lead Volt Lab, a digital marketing and lead gen agency within the Strategic Specialists Group of companies.
By mid-February we were settled into our new home, kids dialled in to their schools and I was busy laying the foundation for Volt Lab out of our office in The Rocks. Then came March, and we were plunged into lock down, transitioning to home schooling and working from home.
It seems so long ago now, even though it was just earlier this year. So much has changed at such a rapid pace in this short period of time. It’s humbling.
How do you launch a new agency during a pandemic?
Launching with a splash was the original plan, but it just didn’t feel right or respectful.
Taking a ‘builder’s mindset’, we simply got to work. No fanfare. Just listening, building, testing, learning, refining and evolving. Quietly.
Meanwhile we started working with business leaders and their teams across Australia, New Zealand, SE Asia and the US.
There’s no “i”… in Volt Lab!
I say “we” because some exceptionally talented people joined the Volt Lab team. I’m inspired by them daily and excited to tell you more about them soon.
Whether Go-to-Market strategies for products and services, new market entries, channel enablement or lead gen solutions, the outcomes and value we’ve been unlocking has been remarkable.
We’re only just getting started.
