Tap Into the Future of Hospital Automation with Nexus AMR

In today’s healthcare landscape, hospitals are facing unprecedented challenges—staffing shortages, rising labor costs, and the growing demand for improved efficiency and patient satisfaction. As these pressures mount, one solution stands out: autonomous mobile robotics (AMRs).

Through Nexus AMR, hospitals can now implement proven, scalable automation that enhances operational performance without increasing headcount. From patient transport to infection control, Nexus AMR is helping hospitals reimagine what's possible in facility management, logistics, and support services.

A Trusted Partner in Healthcare Automation

Founded in 1989, Nexus AMR has decades of experience delivering robotic solutions across industries, including healthcare, education, hospitality, and manufacturing. Unlike providers limited to a single brand, Nexus offers integration support for over 30 AMR manufacturers, giving hospitals the flexibility to build tailored solutions that align with their specific needs.

The Nexus AMR Advantage for Hospitals

1. End-to-End Automation, Simplified

Nexus delivers a complete AMR Ecosystem, not just standalone robots. This all-in-one approach includes:

  • Flexible 3-year leasing options

  • Bundled hardware, software, and services

  • 24/7 maintenance and technical support from certified technicians

Hospitals gain reliable automation without the burden of complex procurement or internal IT resources.

2. Smarter Operations with the Robot Control Platform

At the heart of the Nexus system is the Robot Control Platform (RCP)—a cloud-based dashboard that enables real-time monitoring and control of all AMRs in use across a facility. Key features include:

  • Centralized robot management from a single interface

  • Real-time tracking of performance and task completion

  • Data-driven insights into labor savings and workflow efficiency

  • Service validation and compliance reporting

This level of transparency gives hospital administrators confidence in the impact and accountability of every deployed AMR.

3. Addressing Staffing Shortages Head-On

With 15% average understaffing in critical support roles such as transport, EVS, and logistics, hospitals need reliable tools to maintain operational integrity. Nexus AMRs fill the gap by taking on routine and labor-intensive tasks, allowing clinical staff to stay focused on patient care.

Practical Applications for Every Department

Nexus AMR technology can be deployed across the entire hospital ecosystem. Common use cases include:

  • Autonomous floor and restroom cleaning to meet infection control standards

  • Secure transport of medications, lab specimens, and supplies

  • Patient and guest escort services, including concierge-style assistance

  • UV disinfection robots for ORs, ICUs, and isolation rooms

  • Valet parking and vehicle retrieval

  • Outdoor automation for sweeping, lawn care, and snow removal

  • Automated inventory tracking and cart delivery between departments

Every AMR is chosen and configured based on a facility’s specific requirements, ensuring high-impact results from day one.

Scalable Solutions with Measurable ROI

Whether implementing a pilot program or rolling out enterprise-wide automation, hospitals can scale their AMR deployments over time. Nexus makes it easy to start small and expand based on operational goals, staffing needs, and budget availability.

More than just cost savings, AMRs contribute to:

  • Improved patient and staff satisfaction

  • Enhanced infection control and cleanliness

  • Reduced staff fatigue and turnover

  • Better resource allocation and time savings

To deploy a robot to accomplish a task is one thing. To deploy multiple robots to accomplish multiple tasks is a completely different beast. Guaranteeing the robots will perform the job they are designed to perform while ensuring they are communicating, maintained, and accessible from a single platform is game-changing!
