Federal Trade Commission Chair Andrew Ferguson warned Alphabet Inc. that Gmail’s spam filters may be disproportionately flagging Republican fundraising emails, citing Targeted Victory and the New York Post. He cautioned that this could violate the FTC Act and prompt an investigation. Google denies partisan bias, saying filters rely on objective signals and will review the letter.
