Lenovo unveils full-stack AI vision to drive enterprise productivity|MWC Shanghai 2025 by Jessie Wu

At the opening of MWC Shanghai 2025 on Wednesday, Liu Jun, president of Lenovo China, delivered a keynote speech entitled Full-Stack AI Empowering Enterprise Productivity, outlining the company’s strategic vision and practical efforts in the AI era.

“We are currently in the midst of the fourth industrial revolution triggered by AI, where the capabilities of intelligent agents are doubling every few months,” Liu said. He added that artificial intelligence is no longer a mere tool, but is rapidly becoming a core productivity engine for businesses and society.

At the opening day of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Shanghai 2025, chipmaker Qualcomm laid out its roadmap for shifting AI development from cloud to edge devices, citing evidence that future AI experiences will take place primarily on smartphones, PCs, cars, and other consumer devices.

Speaking at the event’s Agentic AI Summit on Wednesday, Vinesh Sukumar, Qualcomm’s vice-president of AI product management, said the company sees a paradigm shift as AI evolves from generative models to intelligent agents that act autonomously based on user intent. “AI is becoming the new UI (user interface),” he said.

Meituan announced on June 23 that it will fully expand its instant retail business while retreating from loss-making regions in its community group-buying unit, Meituan Youxuan. The company will reallocate resources to strengthen its competitive edge in instant delivery, with a focus on growing its Flash Buy service and XiaoXiang Supermarket’s warehouse-based delivery.
