A milestone moment filled with pride and a touch of heartache.
This week, my wife and I had the honor of dropping off our oldest daughter at college to start her freshman year. Watching her step into this exciting new chapter was a moment of immense joy and yes, a few tears too.
It’s incredible to see her spread her wings, chase her dreams, and begin building her own path. While the house will feel a little quieter once we take the long drive home, my heart is full knowing she’s exactly where she’s meant to be.
To all the parents who’ve been through this or are about to, here’s to the strength of letting go and the beauty of watching them grow. Proud girl dad.
