What is a Threat?

In your neighborhood, there's a known group of opportunistic thieves who are always on the lookout for easy targets. They're like shadows, observing, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

These thieves represent the threat. They have the intent and capability to exploit a weakness.

What is a Vulnerability?

One evening, as you're enjoying a family dinner, the opportunistic thieves are casing the neighborhood. They notice your house and, upon closer inspection, spot the open window. It's like finding an open invitation.

So, open window is your Vulnerability

Now, the threat has identified the vulnerability and it will exploit the vulnerability by entering into house and can take your precious belongings and can hurt you.
