Three Ways to Inspire

I have been asked recently by leaders in both life science and technology companies -- "What more can we do to inspire our teams to perform their best?"

It's an excellent question, since inspired employees are more engaged and productive in their organizations.

So here are three tips for inspiring others:

1. Show your excitement when things go well. Your enthusiasm will energize others!
2. Remind colleagues how their work contributes to the organization. It's surprisingly easy for people to forget the ways in which they have a positive impact.
3. Tell others what you are proud about their work. It is always helpful to hear genuine appreciation!
