Top Line & Bottom Line - How Often Do You Review These... ??

Productivity; Utilization & Billing Rate (& Realization) - Are these just some random management jargons.

KRA's; KPI's & JD's - are they just terms only applicable for Individual Contributors to get into the job

Fund Flow and Cash Flow - how far is management from these?

The Good Old Rule - Manage the Top Line; Your strategy, Your People & Your Products - & the Bottom line will follow... Do business really follow...

With Digital Business - Its not about revenues... The fundamental economics in digital business is scale and margins. The Top line has become the bottom line.

Once you have constant business inflow, but not able to make margin, then the business look for these terms. Aren't they supposed to be part of your Monthly Management Reviews ??

A well defined KRA / KPI of an individual should be inline with Business Goal derived out of the yearly projection of the business vertical; which should be reviewed every quaterly; and should alligned with organizational metrics.

You being the Individual Contributor - the person who is at entry level, but clear on the contribution you make to your role which is alligned with Organizational goals, then the organizational journey is in the right trac. But to deliver this, all the terms mentioned above should not be just some terms, but the process and pratices should be critically reviewed periodically.

In simple words - Either increase revenue or reduce cost.

Know your current margin run rate & take appropriate steps to improve either Top or Bottom or both to be on trac with yearly growth trajectory.
