True Passion: Training and Transforming Others

Dr. Shiv Joshi did his MBA from SGVU-ISBM during 2005-07 and since then he has been making amazing contribution in the field of transforming students. As he experienced the process of transformation - so he became a trainer, motivator and an icon in himself. Q. How did your corporate journey start and what were the milestones? 

Ans: In the dynamic world of academia and professional development, my journey has been marked by a passion for nurturing individuals, fostering academic growth, and instilling a sense of excellence in every endeavor. As an enthusiastic business-driven educationist and soft skills trainer, I have dedicated my career to creating a positive impact on the lives of those I've encountered.

Q. How did your career start and took off?

Ans: My journey began with a strong educational foundation from Jai Narain Vyas University, culminating in a Ph.D. from Jai Narain Vyas University in Jodhpur. Equipped with a PGDHRM and an MBA specializing in Human Resource Management & Marketing from Gyan Vihar Universe, Jaipur in the year 2005-07, I embraced the principles of academic excellence and leadership from the very start. Key Milestones and First Steps: My foray into the corporate world included roles at institutions such as Jaipuria Institute of Management and ICICI Securities, Dr. B.Lal Institute of Biotechnology, IIRM where I honed my skills in corporate relations, recruitment, and training. These experiences laid the groundwork for my holistic approach to education and professional development.

Q. What challenges did you face?

Ans: Throughout my career, I encountered challenges that tested my resilience and determination. Whether navigating the intricacies of corporate presentations or addressing the compliance aspects in business partner outlets, each challenge became an opportunity for growth. Professional Growth: Stepping into the role of Assistant Professor at JIET Group of Institutions in Jodhpur marked a significant transition. Emphasizing academic honesty and fostering alumni support, I contributed to the institution's ethos of excellence and today serving as the HOD at Jodhpur Institute of Engineering and Technology- Department of Management Studies expanded my horizons, allowing me to shape academic strategy and lead the Career Development Cell. Notable Achievements: From guiding learners on the theses at Liverpool Moore University, London as Thesis Supervisor to being appointed as Mentor at Career Development Cell at University of Greenwich, London or being appointed the President of the Alumni Association at Gyan Vihar University- First & Second Chapter, each achievement reflects a commitment to education. Recognition as an Expert on the SUCCESS MANTRA talk show at Rajasthan Patrika TV and serving as an 'Outside Expert' for Bank of Baroda underscored my influence beyond academic settings. Current

Q. What are your aspirations for the future?

In my current role as HOD – Department of Management Studies at Jodhpur Institute of Engineering and Technology, I am entrusted with advancing the academic strategy, fostering a culture of excellence, and promoting the department both internally and externally. Looking ahead, I aspire to continue shaping the next generation of leaders, emphasizing the fusion of academic, personal, and professional excellence.

Q. How do you remember the days at SGVU-ISBM?

Ans: I am profoundly grateful for the foundation laid by my alma mater, Gyan Vihar Universe, during my MBA Program. The academic rigor, exposure to diverse perspectives, and mentorship has been invaluable contributors to my journey. The acknowledgment as the President of the Alumni Association at Gyan Vihar University further solidified the enduring bond with my educational roots. As I reflect on my journey, every role, every challenge, and every achievement has shaped my understanding of education and leadership. I eagerly anticipate the future, confident that the pursuit of academic excellence will continue to be at the forefront of my endeavors.
