A True Professional: No Drama, Just Karma!

A True Professional: No Drama, Just Karma!

Imagine this: You walk into the office, ready to do your best, but your boss barely acknowledges you. Maybe they are in a bad mood, or they just don’t appreciate your work. Does that mean you stop doing your job well? No way! Think of a cricket player—if the coach ignores them, they don’t just drop the bat and walk away. They play their best anyway! That’s what a true professional does—stays focused, no matter how others behave.

Be a Professional, Not an Emotional Sponge

A professional does not let emotions dictate their work. Think of yourself as an ATM. Whether people smile at it or kick it in frustration, the ATM still does its job—dispenses cash (or at least tries to). Your job is to stay consistent, no matter how your boss behaves.

Invest in Yourself: Knowledge is Power

The best investment you will ever make is not in stocks, not in real estate, but in YOU. Read more. Learn new skills. Attend workshops. Gain experiences. The more knowledge you have, the less you’ll care about trivial workplace drama. Remember, a shark never stops swimming, or it dies. So, keep swimming in the ocean of learning!

Be Nice to Your Colleagues and Those Who Report to You

We all know that one manager who walks around like they just swallowed a lemon—bitter and impossible to deal with. Don’t be that person! Treat your colleagues and juniors well. Be the kind of leader who inspires, not the one who makes people check LinkedIn for new jobs every lunch break.

Create Leaders, Not Followers

A weak leader makes people dependent on them. A great leader trains people to be independent. If someone you mentored performs better than you, don’t feel threatened—feel PROUD. Imagine teaching someone how to ride a bicycle, and one day they win a race while you are still puffing up a small hill. That’s a win for you too!

Conclusion: Stay Unshaken, Stay Professional

At the end of the day, being professional is about keeping your head high, working with integrity, and making a positive impact. The best revenge against negativity? Success. The best way to prove yourself? Performance. And the best way to lead? By example.

So, go ahead, be unshaken, be unbothered, and most importantly, be unstoppable!

Well articulated, according to my opinion, rather than dictate the team members, you have to do the same work irrespective of boss behaviour.. It’s better to train the next level leaders who can inculcate the purpose of the work among the team members in such a way that employees should feel that they are valued and can give the best out if them without anyone monitoring them.
