Utilizing Power Virtual Agent & Power Automate, obtain the item's quantity from Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.

Power virtual agent:

Power Virtual Agents is a part of the Microsoft Power Platform, which is a suite of tools designed for building business solutions. Power Virtual Agents specifically focuses on creating chatbots and virtual agents without the need for extensive coding or development experience.

Power Automate:

Power Automate is a Microsoft service that allows users to automate workflows across various applications and services. Formerly known as Microsoft Flow, Power Automate enables users to create automated processes, or "flows," that can perform repetitive tasks, streamline business processes, and integrate data and actions across different systems and services

Business scenario:

• As a salesperson responsible for creating sales orders daily, I often encounter situations where orders exceed available quantities. However, without access to the product information management in D365FO, I face challenges in checking availability.

Solution with Power virtual agent & Power Automate- lets start.

Step-1: Login to the Power automate > Click on Topics & Plugins > Select the Add> Click on topic > From Blank

Add the Phrases

Call the Power automate

It will open the Power Automate

Add the Input values

Add the initialize variable- Which i can use it

List items present in the table- Here connected with the D365FO and Filtering the Item number, Which I will give on the power virtual agent

The value which I provide it will compare it with the item qty

Returning the value to the power virtual agent

Lets connect to the Power virtual agent- This question will ask by the virtual agent and it will understand the data

Power virtual agent is connected with the Power automate flow and inputs and out puts its understanding by the power virtual agent

Lets go to the Power app- Select the chatbot on the Blank app and connect with the Power virtual agent

Connected with the Power virtual agent and designed the chatbot on the Blank app and save it. Copy App id and update in the D365FO

Lets login to the D365FO Create a sales order, And asking the Item(T0020) qty with the Chatbot its provided 1000 qty.
