Want to write a good LinkedIn post?
Ever felt like you're writing your heart out on LinkedIn… but no one's reading it? Let’s change that.
Over the past few months, I’ve been observing what makes a LinkedIn post actually work. And no, it’s not just about going viral — it’s about being clear, relatable, and valuable.
Here’s what I’ve learned — and what you can follow too:
🔹 1. Keep it Simple :
Your post isn’t a research paper.
Write like you speak.
If a 15-year-old can’t understand it, rewrite it.
🔹 2. Stay Consistent :
One good post won’t build trust.
But one post a week for 6 months?
That builds your brand.
🔹 3. Avoid Overusing Emojis:
Use them to highlight, not decorate.
A single emoji can support your tone — too many distract from it.
🔹 4. Add Rhythm to Your Writing :
Short. Punchy. Sentences.
They make people read. Not just scroll.
🔹 5. Give Your Words Breathing Room:
Use spacing generously.
It makes your content easier on the eyes — and easier to follow.
🔹 6. Create a Logical Flow :
Don’t jump between ideas like a tab hoarder.
Have a beginning, a middle, and an end — in that order.
🔹 7. (Bonus) Be Valuable, Not Just Visible:
Don’t post just for the algorithm.
Share insights, experiences, lessons — something that helps someone.
🔹 8. Use Numbered Listicles:
Readers love knowing what to expect.
"8 things to know..." works better than a wall of text.
🔹 9. Cut Unnecessary Words:
Don’t say “in order to” when “to” works.
Don’t say “utilize” when “use” is enough.
🔹 10. Write Hooks as One-Liners:
Your first line should make people stop scrolling.
Think of it like a headline, not an intro.
🔹 11. Use AI, but Don’t Rely on It :
Let AI help you brainstorm.
But your voice is what will keep people coming back.
🔹 12. Arrange Lists by Length :
Start short, end long — or the reverse.
It builds natural momentum for the reader.
🔹 13. Avoid Jargon and Buzzwords :
Cut the “synergy”, “hyper-growth”, “NLP-enabled scalable solutioning.”
Say what you mean. In plain words.
🔹 14. Use Bullet Points for Clarity
When explaining steps, tools, or ideas:
At the end of the day, writing on LinkedIn is not about impressing, it’s about connecting. With real people. With real thoughts. With real intentions.
And the best part?
You can start small.
✨ One post. One story. One insight. ✨
It’s enough to begin.
