Endpoint security firm NinjaOne has completed its acquisition of app security and backup player Dropsuite for around $270m. With the addition of Dropsuite, first announced this January, NinjaOne customers can unify endpoint, server, and SaaS application backups.

AWS unveils independent governance model for European sovereign cloud

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has advanced its digital sovereignty strategy with the formal launch of a new governance structure for the AWS European Sovereign Cloud, set to go live by the end of 2025. The initiative includes the establishment of a German-incorporated parent company, a dedicated Security Operations Center (SOC), and a leadership team entirely composed of EU citizens residing within the bloc.

ConnectWise admits its MSP support software has been hacked

ConnectWise’s remote access and support software ScreenConnect, sold to MSPs and enterprises, has been compromised by hackers, admits the vendor. While not providing details of the hack, ConnectWise claims it has mitigated the threat to users. The company holds its annual customer and partner event, IT Nation Secure in Orlando, Florida next week, and no doubt the threat will be discussed there.
