5. #tradeshow venue and labor news: The Pennsylvania Convention Center , managed by ASM Global , in Philadelphia and its trade show labor partner launched a joint initiative to meet the ongoing and evolving training needs of its workforce. The two groups have committed to funding the training programs with approximately $250,000 to $400,000 per year. The Pennsylvania Convention Center says it is the only initiative dedicated to expanding existing training programs for safety, technical skills, customer service and hospitality in the U.S. Read the full release.
4. #tradeshow launch: NOLA Coffee Festival, a trade and consumer show, will debut Sept. 15-16, 2023 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. The festival was founded by Kevin Richards & Jim Currie. Read the full story.

Registration opened for Global Pet Expo , which will be held March 22-24 at Orange County Convention Center in Orlando: "Show organizers stated they have already filled 80% of the #tradeshow floor, with 575 exhibitors already committed." Read the full story.
#tradeshow preview of Playtime Paris fashion trade show: Sébastien de Hutten, head of Picaflor, organizer of Playtime Paris said: "This year's edition will return to pre-pandemic levels. It took a while, more than in the U.S. where exhibitors and visitors flocked back as soon as they could.” According to a story by Fashion Network: “From January 28 to 30, 2023, the Parc Floral de Paris will be hosting yet another edition of Playtime Paris, the trade fair dedicated to the world of children. On this occasion, 350 exhibitors from 35 different countries will be attending, of which 70% will be fashion and footwear brands and 30% lifestyle brands.” Read the full story.
CONEXPO-CON/AGG has sold out exhibit space 3 1/2 months before the #tradeshow, scheduled for March 14-18 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The 2023 show will feature 1,800 exhibitors covering 2.7 million sf. The last show in March 2020 shut down early due to Covid. Read more here.

The Toy Association is partnering with @Spielwarenmesse @IntToyFair to bring the Nuremberg exhibition provider’s World of Toys Pavilion to Toy Fair 2023, taking place Sept. 30-Oct. 3 at the Javits Center in New York City. Read the full release.
Informa & the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming & Drones (SAFCSP), have formed a new company, Tahaluf, the Arabic word for ‘Alliance.’ The new company will be replacing Informa’s existing operations in Saudi Arabia.
Informa Markets, a U.K.-based public company, produces events in a dozen growing, specialist and international markets, with hundreds of leading brands across Health & Nutrition, Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals, Aviation, Beauty & Aesthetics, Infrastructure & Construction, Agriculture and Fashion. SAFCSP is a national institution that aims to empower the local workforce and enhance their capabilities in the fields of Cybersecurity, Software Development, Drones and Advanced Technologies.
Looking ahead: "Tahaluf-run events are expected to attract around 500,000 visitors annually by 2028 and Tahaluf plans to also employ nearly 200 professionals in the next five years." Tahaluf events planned for 2023 & 2024: @LEAPandInnovate, @deepfestai, @CityscapeMENA and @CPHI_Events
According to an article in Fast Company Middle East: "Informa’s world-scale live and on-demand business and consumer events experience would aid in organizing mega events which “provide market access, drive inbound investment and generate international trade,” says Mike Champion , Regional Executive VP, Informa Plc." Tremendous reporting as always!! As a trainer, #5 warmed my heart! Personally I'm tired of all the travel predictions. But people love giving their predictions (and we keep asking for them!) I'm guessing (not predicting 😁) the visa issue will be worked out and we'll be back to pre-pandemic levels sooner. And great to hear the good news from the various live events!!!
