With OEB25 fast approaching, we are pleased to share the latest updates on what’s shaping up to be another landmark event in Berlin this December.

We’re honoured to welcome Prof. Dr. Maja Göpel to this year’s Opening Plenary. A leading political economist and one of Germany’s most influential voices on sustainability and social transformation, she will bring a vital perspective to this year’s theme.

Also joining the keynote line-up is Avinash Chandarana, Global Learning and Development Director at MCI Group, who will offer a fresh lens on building future-ready talent through cultural intelligence, neuroscience, and AI.

This edition also marks the return of the Learning Battle - a high-energy session where learning innovators test ideas, challenge conventions, and engage directly with the audience.

Gilly Salmon’s latest piece, The Learning Tree: Branching into Possibility, offers a preview of the thinking behind this year’s Closing Session.

You’ll also find details on the 30 Under 30 Programme, open now for applications and nominations, celebrating the emerging talent shaping tomorrow’s learning landscape.

And finally, a warm thank you to everyone who submitted a proposal for this year’s event. The range and quality of ideas reflect the bold thinking required in an age defined by AI and rapid change.
