A huge thank you to everyone who took part in our sold out Empathy Workshop, part of our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Ecosystem 🌈 powered by SEND! In the IDEA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Access) open space session, participants were asked to split into groups to discuss several thought-provoking questions around the critical topic of empathy in the workplace and beyond. 👇

Another great event hosted as part of our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Ecosystem was the Startup Preschool by Startup Migrants. The 2-day workshop, coached by Nicolai Strøm-Olsen and Norhan Othman, was designed to teach migrants, refugees, and newcomers to Germany all about (social) entrepreneurship. 🚀 Check out our recap video. 🍿

We love hosting events at our cosy #circular coworking space, but we also like to take action on the streets! This past month we marched alongside our friends Die Gemeinschaft and Markthalle Neun at the WIR HABEN ES SATT demo, demanding an agricultural and food transition towards a more sustainable future 🌱. We are incredibly excited to announce our Circular Together Batch 4 kick-off! 23 entrepreneurs & 14 teams are now part of our Circular Together programme, powered by Miele, dedicated to working on the biggest challenges around circular economy. ♻️

Impact Hub Berlin’s Sara Moczygemba gave a keynote at the Black Entrepreneur & Talent Expo at the end of last year! In her speech she showcased the work the Impact Hub Berlin community is doing within the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Ecosystem, and its importance for a more equitable world. We're so happy to see our #DEI network grow! 🌈

🎤 Meet the Changemakers

Our monthly event designed to showcase our members and give our community an opportunity to meet and network is back on February 22! This month's edition will focus on Green Tech and feature the participants in the Berlin Landing Pad programme, so make sure you're following our Eventbrite page and socials to get notified about tickets!

💡 Opportunities 💡

We're looking for a Content and PR Manager (EN & DE). Their job will be to strategise, coordinate, and implement our public-facing communications. This role is key in showcasing our work and impact. If you or anyone you know is interested, check out the job description and send us an application!

Impact Hub Berlin is also looking for a People and Culture Intern or Working Student to support us from April 2023 onwards. With our new space for impact entrepreneurs having opened only a year ago and our growing team, you’ll be supporting us at a key moment in our journey! Apply now!

Are you a #changemaker in Green Tech? Looking to build connections with international startups in various fields including renewable energy, air pollution, carbon monitoring, and circularity? This month we are welcoming nine green/clean tech startups 🌳 from Asia, Latin America, and Africa to our #ImpactHubBerlin community as part of the Berlin Landing Pad programme, organised by enpact. 💻 Our members circulee are a green start-up with the mission of enabling businesses to save CO2 emissions and costs by purchasing pre-owned devices. Listen to circulee's CEO Thomas Gros' podcast, talking about how businesses can supplement their sustainability efforts through Green IT equipment.

🎁 As a generous gift for our space opening last year, one of our partners provided us with a sum that we decided to donate to an impact organisation selected by our Community. The race was tight but we have a winner - our members jobs4refugees won 1000 EUR which will be used towards the Open Desk Initiative held at our coworking space.

📚 Congrats to our members from finmarie, whose book “Finanzen Sind Weiblich” is now also to be found in libraries! Check out the Finanzen Themenraum display at Amerika-Gedenkbibliothek or find it in the ZLB digital catalog at the other libraries across Berlin!
