Eurocities Culture Forum: Spaces for vibrant cultural and creative scenes
Under the title ‘Spaces for vibrant cultural and creative scenes – Building blocks of a developed cultural and creative scene’, we will explore how culture reshapes our cities—physically, socially, and imaginatively. From small to large-scale projects, from city centres to neighbourhoods, we will dive into the future of shared multifunctional centres that serve as cultural, social, and innovation hubs, strengthening communities and promoting sustainable urban development.

Working together on National Building Renovation Plans at the European Week of Regions and Cities
Hosted by BPIE - Buildings Performance Institute Europe & Eurocities, the workshop explores how cities can shape and strengthen National Building Renovation Plans (NBRPs). With new survey insights and expert input from the EU, national and local levels, the focus is on governance, consultation and policy needs for local authorities driving building decarbonisation. Participants will share experiences, discuss challenges and identify ways to improve collaboration across governance levels to ensure NBRPs deliver on the path to a zero-emission building stock by 2050.

Unlocking the Power of EU Funds for Cities
This session, organised by the city of Budapest with support from Eurocities, will explore how EU funds support cities in delivering local and European goals, as well as where critical gaps remain. We will discuss interim findings from the ESPON URDICO targeted analysis, focusing on how to align EU funding with long-term urban development needs, boost local administrative and fiscal capacity, and ensure cities are well-equipped to tackle future challenges.

Data spaces: experience from the European Tourism Data Space

SURVEY: CitiVerse for Smart City Stakeholders
The Open & Agile Smart Cities and Communities network and the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute are collaborating to shape global standards for the CitiVerse - a new evolution of smart cities that connects the physical and digital worlds using digital twins, the metaverse and other emerging technologies.
The survey gathers valuable insights on the definition and enabling technologies of the CitiVerse. It explores awareness, expectations and requirements regarding related services across three key areas: immersive urban experience, enhanced urban management and citizen engagement.

CIVITAS Replication and Deployment Programme - Apply to become a Champion city
CIVITAS is seeking 12 cities to mentor peers on Road Safety & Security, Behavioural Change, and Mobility Hubs. If selected, you will be matched with one of the following cities: Stuttgart (Germany), Reġjun Tramuntana (Malta), Kifissia (Greece), Gaziantep (Turkey), Florence (Italy) and Osmangazi (Turkey). Share your proven measures, join a study visit to your preferred Challenge City (travel reimbursed up to €875), and amplify your impact across Europe.

Pulse Survey on Climate Adaptation
This survey has been designed with the support of seven academic experts from CIDOB (Barcelona Centre for International Affairs). These academics will provide expert analysis of your input contributing to a CIDOB Monograph entitled ‘Urban climate adaptation in Europe’ to be published in early 2026 as part of our advocacy on the expected EU Climate Adaptation Plan, due to be published in 2026.

Call for Partners: Compact Cities – Sustainable Urban Planning and Sprawl Mitigation
The Urban Agenda for the EU (UAEU) has opened a Call for Partners for a new Thematic Partnership on “Compact Cities – Sustainable Urban Planning and Sprawl Mitigation”, launched on 27 August. This Partnership aims to bring together stakeholders from the public and private sectors, urban authorities, academia, regions, Member States, and NGOs to promote dense, efficient and sustainable urban development, thereby responding effectively to the challenges posed by urban sprawl across Europe.

Advancing the Circular Economy in Cities – Apply for C3 Advisory Programmes
The The Circular City Centre – C3, led by the European Investment Bank (EIB) and co-funded by the European Commission under the CCRI, is offering free advisory programmes to support cities at every stage of their circular transition:
Municipalities and public promoters can apply by completing an expression of interest form. Fifteen cities will be selected, with workshops starting in January 2026.
