What's New In Droplet? Workflow Rules Without Code, Assign & Notify Dynamically, & More!
More visual rule builders, a tip about merging in fields, and a conference request success story...all in this month's issue of The Drop.
Let’s dive in!
1. Build Workflow Rules without Code
Now, you can visually build workflow transitions without writing code for every condition. Simply connect steps using our friendly, no-code rule builders.
2. Assign & Notify Dynamically
Configuring dynamic assignees and dynamic email recipients just got much easier. Our new visual rule builder lets you pick fields to define who must approve a submission or get an email alert—no code needed. Of course, code expressions are still available for trickier use cases.
3. Live Weekly Trainings
Tuesdays at 1:00 PM ET
Join us for a free, live training on form-building, where we’ll walk through creating a form layout, setting up workflows, configuring email notifications, managing visibility, and testing before publishing.
Personalize with Merge Fields
When you want to weave a user’s specific input into an email subject, body, or even a label right on your form, wrap the field’s ID in double-hash marks (e.g. ##firstName##).
“After the successful launch and implementation of our field trip admissions and transportation forms, I knew the next form to tackle would be conference requests. The cumbersome way we had been routing the paper versions made it hard to track and difficult to manage.
After several months of creating, tweaking, testing, and perfecting, we were finally able to launch it in Droplet in early February. There have been additional edits we’ve had to make since implementation, but I’ve received feedback that this form was a long time coming. Putting it in Droplet has made it so much easier to track the workflow and receive approvals.”

We love hearing stories like this…especially how Droplet helped simplify an existing paper-based process. Thanks, April, for sharing! (And what a perfect person to hear from at the beginning of April.)
Share your Story, Tip, or Trick
