Why the people learn?

Why the people learn?

To answer this question first we need to give short definition of learning.

Learning is acquisition of knowledge or skills through study, experience, or being through. Also learning is the process of acquiring new information, understanding, knowledge, behaviors, skills, values, attitudes and preferences.

So then why the people learn?

We can say that people learn for many reasons, and that each of the reasons rooted in evolution, societal needs and individual aspiration.

First, when we were just a kids we learn to survive and to adapt. This was the most basic level of learning, on which our parents trained us with system of punishment and reward. If we did something good, they were happy, they were smiling and that was our reward, and on the other hand, when we made some mistakes or behave badly, they were angry, they yelled at us, and that was our punishment. Through this process we learned to survive and adopt to the world around us. The ability to learn allowed us to avoid danger, ensure physical and emotional safety. So we were adapting to changes in environment and we were developing new skills.

After that, when we started going into kindergarten and school, we were thought some knowledge, we were given some information, but more then that, we were curious and loved to explore. This is in ours humans nature --> curiosity that drives us to explore the world around us. This is not only the way of acquiring knowledge, but also a form of pleasure. Curiosity allows us to ask questions, find answers, and expand the boundaries of what we know.

Later, during a teenage time, we were worried more about personal development and a sense of achievement, but in the same time we also cared about social connections. It was important to us to have our group of friends and to be recognized and to feel free and safe in our circle of the closed friends that we trust. This was the period in which, through learning, we developed our talents, founded interests and felt fulfilled. We can safely say that learning new things contributes to the feeling of success, makes us more satisfied and contributes to our mental health. Through learning, individuals can achieve their goals, whether professional or personal.

After that, while studying on university and college, young people discover that learning connects us with other people. First, we connect with our professors and assistant professors, who were passing theirs knowledge to us, and whom we can ask in case something was unclear to us, or if we are interested in something additional. Later, we connect with our colleagues, with whom we learn, communicate, share experiences, studies, exams, etc.

In community, the transfer of knowledge and experience has an extremely important role. Consequence of that is the strengthening the bond between the members. Also, by learning a language, we can more easily connect with other people, get to know their cultures, customs, social rules, beliefs and convictions. In this way, people get involved in society, building a sense of belonging.

Through learning and passing on the knowledge from generation to generation, the entire society progresses. Innovation and technological progress are the result of the accumulation and application of learned knowledge. Each new discovery and achievement is based on previous knowledge, and the desire for progress drives people to constantly expand the boundaries of what is possible.

And finnaly, people often learn to understand the world and find meaning in it. This include philosophical, artistic, and spiritual pursuits of knowledge. Gaining new knowledge and exploring the world helps people better understand their place in it.

Whatever the reason is why people learn and study, I want you to continue to study, to constantly ask questions and find the answers that suit you the best, to discover the truth and find meaning in life.

And after you have learned something and provided yourself materially, I want you to try to help entire community on the way to prosperity, progress, and a better life for everyone.

“Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.” was said by Malcolm X. I would also add that we learn to survive, not only in history before our time, but as well now, and we learn as you accurately said to find our purpose and use that knowledge to earn a bigger reward. However, I feel sad to point out that even though informations are more reachable than ever before, knowledge is becoming increasingly more difficult to acquire, or if you may the accurate, useful knowledge. Even if I necessarily love the idea of specialisation and being a master in your own area, I tend to belive that a bit of general knowledge is critical and crutial for ones success. But this was an amazing article, thank you for sharing!!! Keep up the good work! 👏👏👏👏

Knowledge can't inherit from their's parents. Each have to make knowledge from zero.
