When it comes to chronic disease management and Metabolic health, Fitterfly has always been at the forefront in India. Our unique model of the care continuum, with a dedicated nutritionist, physiotherapist, and psychologist for each subscribing member, has proven to be immensely successful. Our holistic approach leveraging the latest advances in continuous glucose sensing, digital therapeutics and holistic care has not only complemented the efforts of treating physicians but has also empowered our subscribing members in their journey towards better health. We’ve helped over 20,000 individuals in India in conquering Diabetes, Obesity and other chronic conditions to date, with an average reduction of 1.96% in HbA1c. Our members have lost upto 5kg and noted greater than a 50% improvement in their overall fitness. And we’ve been publishing our research in the most prestigious clinical journals globally, with over 50 publications and conference presentations to date.

At Fitterfly , we are passionate about “patient outcomes” the most. And we push ourselves through constant innovation, and we believe there's always room to enhance the quality of care we provide. In this pursuit, we are thrilled to announce the launch of a new division: X-Labs. Our mission at X-Labs is to leverage the power of Artificial Intelligence to innovate in our workflows and offer a more personalised, effective, and intuitive approach to chronic disease management.

The integration of AI into our existing frameworks has enormous potential. Two key directions for our roadmap include:

AI coaching and chatbots (client facing):

We’ve been chatting with subscribers since 2016 with over 22 million positively reinforcing nudges in our journey to date! The potential to reach and engage more members is significant with today’s tech stacks, as chatbots provide real-time responses and deliver personalised conversation 24/7. Compared to when we first started, today’s AI handles progress monitoring, setting reminders, answering common queries, and providing routine information, while our human coaches focus on delivering in-depth personalised care.

Furthermore, the continual learning ability of AI will enable our coaching systems to improve their responses over time, making them an invaluable asset for our Nutritionists, Physiotherapists and Psychologists. This will also serve as a secondary layer of support, gently guiding our subscribing members in real-time and reminding them to take the necessary steps towards better health outcomes.

Personalised Data Analysis, Biofeedback loops & Hybrid workflows (internal infrastructure):

Everyone rants about how data is an untapped gold mine. But very few walk the talk on predicting outcomes such as when a client will reach their target weight or see a decrease in HbA1c levels. We offer a more nuanced approach to care and treatment. Our aim is to empower our clients with insights that can help them better understand their health journey and what it takes to reach their goals. And we’ve been researching game design and behavioural psychology for precisely this motivation.

The advent of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems has given us access to an unprecedented amount of data. Our team at X-Labs is researching virtual biomarkers that complement glucose and can unlock other vitals and bio-feedback loops. And within workflows, pre-analysis of patient-specific details by AI ensures that our health professionals can spend their time on tasks that require a human touch and connection. After all, you can’t code for empathy by prompting LLMs.
