XPO Connect™ Helps Define the Future of Transportation

XPO Connect™  was a labor of love. I’m proud to have been associated with this transportation industry-changing innovation, and especially proud of the teams who worked so hard to make it happen. It’s extremely gratifying to have their work recognized by this Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100 award.

The vision was realized when we launched Connect in North America in 2018 and then in Europe in 2019. This game-changing platform caters to the needs of XPO’s customers around supply chain efficiency, harnessing our digital and data science capabilities. We continue to expand Connect’s reach, adding capabilities, transportation modes, and localization for multiple countries. 

Connect is a fully-automated, self-learning digital freight marketplace that brings customers and XPO’s transportation network together. It’s a proprietary suite of digital products covering first-mile to last-mile applications. 

XPO developed Connect by capitalizing on years of tech investment, market know-how, and an enormous amount of historical data. The platform handles customers’ most critical transportation needs with mode-agnostic, intelligent and adaptive services. It uses machine learning to optimize freight-matching by sourcing the best carriers for each load profile. With open APIs to integrate with any transportation management system, Connect features interactive, easy-to-use web and mobile interfaces. 

The platform’s growth has been remarkable. It’s used by 18,000 shippers, 60,500 carriers and 150,000 drivers, with adoption expanding by 20% every month.

Many teams across the globe worked tirelessly to make Connect successful. I want to express my sincere thanks to each one of them for helping to define the future of transportation.
