Yet one more....

Ten years ago, when I started my entrepreneurship as a stake holder with an edtech organization, my KPI were technology, business models and business strategies. On the way, I got involved with the student sector. And when I look back, no sector could hold me beyond 3 years. I had a peculiar 3 year itch. I began with instrumentation, then information technology, progressed to telecom, advanced to ICT, then e commerce, all of these could hold me only for 3 years at the most. I always wanted to get on to the next and the latest.

But when I landed into the education and technology sector, called edtech, it held me for ten years. I accidently got into the career counseling segment and I found it to my liking. Then technology being my core liking, I contributed to creating online psychometric products.

And then I also started understanding the world of psychology. That was again to strengthen my understanding of the subject to deliver world class psychometric products. And I had very contrarian thoughts. So I decided to become a subject matter expert by embarking on doing a masters in psychology.

And I did it!

The quest now doesn't end there. I now want to introduce my thoughts on the root cause of juvenile crimes and my take on the juvenile reformation programs.

So I now embark on the journey of acquiring a doctrate on this subject. Sharing this piece has several objectives. One of them being, the importance of career counseling to students at an early age.

Career counseling is super important now than ever. When I was a student, the limited options, limited exposure all contributed to pursuing a particular career path. But today with micro specializations, flexi choices of subjects, no boundary of universities, career choices can be made on the basis of several data points. And to me, data always leads to a logical conclusion.

The other objective is to encourage my fellow beings, that it is never too late to pursue academics. I am now 57, and I may keep adding even when I am 67.

Knowledge is power and ageless too.

It's clear that your passion for psychology and academia drives your commitment to excellence. Keep up the fantastic work, and continue making a positive impact in the field. At AgedCareKB, we believe specialized AgedCare Knowledge should always be Free. Join today and put the power of hundreds of topics and peer-reviewed articles in your team's hands.
