You don’t need more time you need more bandwidth.
If I think about any of the times in my life where I’ve been resistant to change,
they’ve always been the times where I’ve had the least amount of bandwidth.
Bandwidth is probably the most precious resource that we have in this day and age
(agree?) and when your brain is saying 'I just don’t have the time for that', what it’s
really saying is 'I just don’t have the capacity for anything extra right now'.
I see you.
But what really is bandwidth?
It’s the energy or mental capacity required to deal with a situation.
The number one issue I hear that prevents people from becoming healthier is "I just
don’t have the time." But it’s not about time, it’s about bandwidth.
When your days are so busy and there’s already so much going on in your world,
adding healthy eating and exercise can feel like just another stressful thing on an
endless list.
It can feel super overwhelming, and not because you're not capable (you are!) but
because your mental load is already full.
So, when you’re feeling like this it’s important to find a way to expand that bandwidth,
to find that space.
That’s why the first thing I teach all my clients is:
So, if that first step to change is really about space, how do I make space?
Here are three practical ways you can do that:
Making space is incredibly important. Not just making space physically, but mentally.
Finding the capacity to take on extra can feel almost impossible sometimes. But,
taking that first step can be the start of an amazing journey. A journey that fills your
body with energy, confidence and happiness. A journey that fills your cup up.
When you make the space, you make a foundation for sustainable change. This is
imperative because you aren’t just looking for change in itself, you’re looking for a
place to cultivate that change, a place where you don’t just work for change, but you
love what the change brings and the journey it takes you on.
So instead of waiting for the “perfect time,” create the conditions that make change
possible. Start small, stay consistent, and give yourself the grace to grow.
With these initial steps you’ll begin to create more order and space in your mind that
will ultimately help everything else feel easier.
You’ve got this and you’ve always had this.
If you’re ready to live the life of your dreams in a body you love, I’d love to teach you
how. Reach out today – lets chat.

3moSo true! It is also about priority setting. When we say, we do not have time for this - it means we have time for something else, instead. And this is a very different perception of the situation.
