100 ways college students are using ChatGPT! Earlier this year, we invited 70 students into the ChatGPT Lab to swap their best chats. Together, they tested, refined, and voted on the chats they found most useful. Today, we’re sharing their top 100 chats for students everywhere to use: chatgpt.com/100chats There’s also a printed book with all the chats. Students are handing out copies at 50 colleges and universities across the US and Canada. Thank you to all the students and creators who helped make this. ✨

👑 Prompt 1: I want to achieve [goal]. Give me the lowest-effort first step I can take today that takes <5 minutes but moves me closer to my goal. Include a quick pep-talk to help me get going. 👑 Prompt 2: Act as my accountability coach to help me achieve [goal]. Give me a simple task I can do right now to start making progress. Every time I say ‘done,’ reply with one 10-minute next step until [goal] is finished. 👑 Prompt 3: Ask me some questions to help me audit my day for energy leaks. Help me identify those leaks and replace each one with a 2-minute ritual that resets dopamine and focus. 📹: Jessica Camilleri-Shelton

ChatGPT helped me rescue this injured ibis today. I found him on the way to the gym this morning and hopped off my bike to investigate. The poor little guy had what looked like a broken beak and had been bleeding. I assume he was either hit by a car or flew into something 😔 He was sitting on the sidewalk and clearly nervous, though not moving away when I approached him slowly. So I asked ChatGPT what to do. It gave me directions for how to safely transport him and where to—Pelican Harbor Seabird Station. I texted them to confirm they could take him in and they responded promptly (open 9-5, even on Sundays!). I called in the reinforcements and my husband and son arrived with a crate and some towels. We followed ChatGPT’s instructions and carefully placed a towel over him before putting him in the crate and into the back of the car. We got him to Pelican Harbor shortly after and handed him off to the experts. After intake, we checked out some of the animals that were being rehabilitated at the center—owls, pelicans (of course), seagulls, turtles, and more—which was very special. The staff gave us a patient number and said that we’d be able to check in on the ibis’s status in a couple of days. I hope he makes it—and in the meantime, I’m thankful for technology helping us give him a fighting chance ❤️🩹 If you’d like to learn more about or support Pelican Harbor Seabird Station’s efforts, I’ll link their IG in the comments.
