Is Diversity at the top still a conversation?
Women in banking and finance (WIBF)
Statistics show that only 17% of the ICT sector and 23% of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) workforce in the UK are women – and at lower than a 1:5 ratio, significantly less than most other sectors. Worse still, this figure actually reflects a stall in female representation in the technology sector in the last decade.

Worse still, this figure actually reflects a stall in female representation in the technology sector in the last decade.
The future of women in tech is looking bright but the future of diversity isn’t so during the recent Digital Leaders, WIBF and Lloyds Banking Group Women’s Summit, we have been debating passionately how we can better support more talented women to pursue and excel their careers. The key to this for me is threefold; unlock female capital; raise the talent bar and show that diversity is synonymous with success.

Digital zero to hero - mastering intrapreneurship
Computer Weekly
Opportunities to make the customer experience simpler, easier and more inclusive, cut costs and launch new ventures through technology became an obsession across any industry sector. Opportunities to make the customer experience simpler, easier and more inclusive, cut costs and launch new ventures through technology became an obsession across any industry sector. At the same time, technology leaders want purpose in their careers as well as leaving a legacy to their employers. But this is not easy and action plans must be engineered carefully. Above all, executives must accept that success will be collective to the company rather than individually for them - this is the fundamental difference between intrapreneurs and entrepreneurs, says Claire Calmejane, director of innovation at Lloyds Banking Group.
Calmejane is a leading figure in financial technology, and one of the only women in the Wall Street Journal Fintech 40 Europe. Hired in 2012 by Lloyds Banking Group to shake-up the old ways of doing business, she enjoys working on projects that make a difference and benefit people. She set up Lloyds’ Innovation Labs and worked with HR to set-up the Digital Academy to support 75,000 colleagues to become digital leaders. She is a lecturer on fintech and digital transformation at MIT, Oxford, UCL and HEC.

In September 2015, the Open Banking Working Group (OBWG) was set up at the request of HM Treasury. Its aim To explore how data could be used to help people to transact, save, borrow, lend and invest their money. Making it possible to share data that banks have historically held will improve people’s banking experience. When securely shared or published openly using open APIs, the data can be used to build useful applications and resources to help people find what they need. Customers can look for a mortgage more easily, banks can find customers matched to a new product, and businesses can share data with their accountants. This, in turn, will improve efficiency and stimulate innovation.
The OBWG has set out an Open Banking Standard to guide how open banking data should be created, shared and used by its owners and those who access it.Autres auteursVoir la publication -
