Holly O’Neill is president of Consumer, Retail, and Preferred, and a member of Bank of America’s executive management team.

Holly leads Retail Banking and Preferred Banking, two of the company’s eight lines of business. In this role, she is responsible for serving the financial needs of our 69 million clients through our 3,700 financial centers, 15,000 ATMs, client care centers, as well as through our award-winning digital capabilities.

Holly drives the strategies to deliver the products, services, and education to support the financial health of our mass market clients, including individuals new to banking and from low-to-moderate communities. She also leads the company’s work to provide personalized solutions, valuable rewards, and advice and guidance for more complex banking, borrowing, and investing needs.

Holly joined Bank of America in 1996 in the Corporate and Investment Bank where she held various roles. She also served as chief operating officer (COO) for Bank of America Private Bank and for Merrill Lynch Wealth Management® Private Banking and Investment Group.

In 2025, Holly was named to Barron’s list of the 100 Most Influential Women in U.S. Finance for the fourth consecutive year. In 2024, she was included in American Banker’s list of the Most Powerful Women in Banking for the second consecutive year. She has also been included in Forbes’ 50 Over 50 list and received a Silver Stevie Award for Customer Service Executive of the Year.

Holly is the executive sponsor of Bank of America’s Disability Advisory Council, ensuring the company is an employer of choice and key partner to our communities impacted by disabilities. She also serves on the Advisory Board of Special Olympics Massachusetts.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business from the University of New Hampshire and is a Chartered Financial Analyst®.
