I drink my own champagne—here’s the 5-part framework I use to build homepages for simple products and services (including mine): "What should I include on my homepage?" is a question I get often. If you sell simple solutions geared toward the end user, this is a structure I like using: 1. Above the fold. Nail this section by specifying what the product is, what it does, who it’s for, and add relevant trust symbols. People need to GET it fast. 2. Problem. Break down the primary struggles your audience is facing when trying to accomplish a job or fixing an issue. This creates an opening for your product – AKA the solution – to naturally enter the picture. 3. Value proposition. Distill the capabilities and features of your solution to fix their problem. 4. Proof. Integrate testimonials to show your ideal buyers how people like them have benefited from the product you’re selling. 5. How it works. Walk visitors through your process/methodology/pricing so they can visualize what they get when taking action. Of course, there's not one way to go about building a homepage.
