When I was working 9–5 in the military… I had to learn this the hard way. Work can take over your life if you let it. So I made a decision early on: My work would support my life — not replace it. Here are the 10 principles I followed to create real work-life balance (even with a demanding schedule): → Prioritize quality of life over hustle → Set non-negotiable boundaries around your time → Make rest and recovery part of your routine → Don’t say yes to everything — say yes to what matters → Schedule time for family like you schedule meetings → Stop glorifying “busy” — aim for being intentional → Build a career that aligns with your values → Take breaks without guilt — you're not a machine → Communicate your needs clearly (at work and at home) → Remind yourself daily: You work to live, not live to work I didn’t always get it right. But these principles kept me grounded. And today, as an entrepreneur and investor — they still guide me.

Work-life balance gets thrown around a lot. But when you're actually in it, running a team, building a business, trying to be present in your life, it can feel impossible. These are 3 small shifts that have helped me stay sane as a founder, executive, and mom juggling a lot behind the scenes. 1. Set boundaries and stick to them. This one is hard, I won’t lie. But boundaries aren't just about time. They're about energy. I use a shutdown ritual to help signal “I’m done for the day.” It might be a candle, a playlist, writing out tomorrow’s to-do list, whatever tells your brain it's time to stop working. For your nervous system. 2. Micro breaks are not optional. This is also something I have to work on everyday. You’re not a machine. Five minutes between meetings makes a difference. You don’t need a full spa day, just a breath, a reset, a moment. Some things I’ve leaned into include early morning walks, meditation, prayer, mindfulness, long baths, and even livestreamed sound baths on TikTok. Sound has changed the way I ground myself. I recorded this video last summer before my sound bowls arrived, but now I’m finally comfortable playing them. 3. Delegate like you mean it. You didn’t build all this just to be stuck in every task. Start a list. What only you can do vs. what someone else could own. Let go of the rest. Tools like HighLevel and services like Cherry Assistant make it easier to keep your team aligned without micromanaging. Visibility + trust = freedom. But when you actually apply them, they create space. Space to think. Space to breathe. Space to grow. If you’re in that season where it all feels heavy, start small. And if this helped, I’d love to know which one landed with you. Or drop your own tip, because I’m still figuring it out too. We’re not built to do this alone. 🖤 Jessie

Most people believe Work-life Balance is a Myth. And I disagree with all of them; here's why: Because I believe it is really possible! After years of late nights and missed weekends, I've cracked the code of maintaining balance. Here's my secret: it's all about boundaries. Sounds simple, right? But it's not easy to follow this. Here's how I make it work: -> Make a to-do list When work hours end, the laptop closes. Period. No sneaky email checks! -> Calendar blocking I schedule everything - work, gym, family time. And I mean everything. Pro tip: Let your assistant know these blocks are sacred. Trust me, no one's going to die if that meeting waits till Monday. -> Do physical work-out regularly 3-4 gym sessions a week keep me sane. It's non-negotiable "me time." -> Friends & family first I carve out dedicated time for loved ones. No phones, no distractions when I am with them. -> Ruthless prioritization I review my calendar weekly. Is anything not aligned with my goals? Gone. Remember: in headhunting (and most jobs), few things are truly urgent. That "emergency" can probably wait. It feels weird at first, but it gets easier. Now, I'm not saying I've achieved perfect balance. Some weeks are crazier than others. But overall? I'm happier, more productive, and actually present in my personal life. So yes, I believe work-life balance is possible. It just takes practice, discipline, and the courage to say "no" sometimes. Have you found your balance? Or are you still struggling? #WorkLifeBalance #Corporate #Career #Life

As I sit here reflecting on my career journey, I'm reminded of a pivotal moment that forever changed the way I approached work-life balance. I glanced at the clock—4:30 pm. My colleagues were still immersed in their tasks, but I was already packing up. Why? Because I was determined to beat the traffic and be home in time for dinner with my family. 👨👩👧👦 Weekends? Those were sacred—reserved for family and recharging my spirit. 🌳 You might wonder, wasn't I worried this would impact my career or tarnish my reputation? The truth is, I wasn't. I knew I delivered results on time as required. 💼 My day started at the break of dawn, up at 5 am, and in the office by 6. By 9 am, crucial decisions were made, and my desk was clear of pending tasks. 🌅🕕 Breaks? Hardly. Working lunches became the norm. Each evening at home, I’d spend a focused 30 minutes preparing for the next day, ensuring I was in bed by 10 pm, ready to tackle the morning with a sharp mind and a rested body. 💤📋 You can have it all if you excel at what you do, set firm boundaries, and communicate what you will and won't do. 🗣️ I never shirked responsibilities, refused work, or let my team down. I simply found a way to get things done that honored both my career and personal life. 🏆 I don't just get work done. I get work done my way. 💯 How You Too Can Achieve Life-Work Balance: ➡️ Set clear boundaries: Define your working hours and stick to them. ➡️ Communicate these boundaries with your team and family. ➡️ Prioritize tasks: Focus on high-impact tasks first thing in the morning when your energy levels are highest. ➡️ Plan your day: Spend a few minutes each evening planning for the next day. It helps you stay organized and reduces stress. Actions you can take today: ➜ Identify your top 3 priorities for tomorrow: Write them down and tackle them first thing in the morning. ➜ Schedule a family activity: Make time for your loved ones this weekend and fully disconnect from work. ➜ Take a break: Use your vacation days. Rest and recharge to come back even more productive. If we haven't met: I'm Rudy Malle a clinical researcher, avid entrepreneur, podcaster, storyteller, and career adviser. As an energy healer and meditation guide, I've seen firsthand how tuning into our personal frequencies can lead to improved emotional health and professional performance. Here are some effective strategies that have made a significant difference for me and can benefit you as well: Mindful Meditation for Focus and Clarity 🧘♀️ Incorporate 10-15 minutes of meditation into your daily routine to clear your mind and reduce stress. This practice enhances focus, productivity, and overall mental clarity, which are essential for professional success. Breathwork for Stress Management 🌬️ Use techniques like deep diaphragmatic breathing and alternate nostril breathing to regulate your body’s energy flow. These exercises help stabilize your emotional state and build resilience, enabling you to handle workplace challenges more effectively. Positive Affirmations for Confidence 🗣️ Integrate positive affirmations into your daily routine to shift your mindset. Phrases such as “I am capable” and “I handle challenges with grace” can boost your confidence and foster a positive outlook, improving your professional interactions and performance. Sound Therapy for Relaxation 🎶 Incorporate sound therapy using Tibetan singing bowls or binaural beats. These calming sounds can realign your personal frequency, reduce stress, and promote relaxation, leading to better mental health and productivity. Nature Connection for Grounding 🌿 Spend time outdoors to synchronize your frequency with nature. Activities like walking barefoot on grass or sitting by water can enhance your emotional health and provide a grounding effect, helping you maintain a healthy work-life balance. Gratitude Practice for a Positive Mindset 📖 Keep a gratitude journal and list a few things you are thankful for each day. This practice raises your personal vibration, fostering a positive mindset that can improve your overall outlook and enhance your professional relationships. Healthy Living for Optimal Performance 🥗 Stay hydrated and eat a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Good physical health supports your body's natural energy flow and emotional stability, leading to increased performance and reduced absenteeism. Physical Activity for Energy Boost 🏃♀️ Engage in regular physical activity like yoga, running, or dancing. Exercise releases endorphins, which elevate your mood and increase your frequency, resulting in higher energy levels and better productivity. Cultivate Positive Relationships for Support 🤗 Build a network of supportive and uplifting colleagues. Positive social interactions enhance your emotional health and create a collaborative and positive work environment. Conclusion: By tuning into your personal frequency and adopting these practices, you can achieve a balanced state of well-being that enhances both your personal and professional life. Embrace these strategies to nurture your inner state and transform your life. #Success #GoodLife #Healing

You're out there crushin' it and doing all the things. But when was the last time you checked in on yourself? 🤔 As marketers, we're the creators of brand magic, the storytellers who connect with audiences, and the driving force behind business success. But even marketing superheroes need a moment to take off their cape and to check in on themselves, mentally and emotionally. In honor of #WorldMentalHealthDay, I'm sharing the three tips to ensure you're mentally and emotionally well while killin' it as a marketing rockstar. 🤘🏾 1️⃣ Enforce your boundaries: One major tip for maintaining mental health is setting clear boundaries. Boundaries are the guard rails to protect us from getting hurt and burnt out. It's okay to say no when you need to or shoot just when you want to 🫰🏾. Boundaries save your time (your most valuable and irreplaceable commodity), energy, and emotional well-being. They ensure that we are not stretched too thin and can help us maintain a healthy work-life balance. 2️⃣ Go to therapy: I believe in therapy as maintenance, not just when facing an issue. Just like we fine-tune our marketing strategies, we must also give our mental well-being some love. In some cases, therapy can be made readily available to you for free. Many companies offer Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs). These gems provide access to therapy for various needs. And typically, you receive a specific amount of sessions per "issue". Seeking help isn't a sign of weakness; it's a sign of strength. It's a way to level up both personally and professionally. Side note: Even if you have to pay for therapy, you're worthy of investing in yourself and well-being. 3️⃣ Self-care is your BFF: Beyond the hustle and bustle of marketing life, nurture your passions and interests outside of work. It's not just about work-life balance; it's about keeping your spirits high. Whether it's spending quality time with your family and friends, indulging in some well-deserved self-care (facial, anyone? 💆🏾♀️), or embracing a Netflix binge, make sure you find time for what fills your cup. 🫶🏾 Mental wellness isn't just a nice-to-have; it empowers us to be our best selves. Our mental health is the engine that drives our brilliance. Embrace it, champion it, and shine brightly. ✨ How do you protect your mental health or which tip resonated with you the most? I'd love to hear in the comments. 👇🏾 #mentalhealth #mentalwellbeing #selfcare #eap #boundaries #marketers
