Clinical trials offer treatments that fuel hope for patients who have come to the end of the road with conventional therapies and therefore the emergence of clinical trials as an option in mainstream patient healthcare.
To provide a patient with access to this choice it seems obvious that a trial is opened swiftly to recruitment at the participating institution.
My role of a research coordinator is pivotal to this process and I have created a financially sustainable haemato-oncology trials portfolio. As a result I have achieved various successes namely:
1. Being the first coordinator in the entire UK on 3 occasions to gain R&D approvals for major commercial pharma trials
