My goal in life is to guide and equip students to make positive choices by providing innovative educational leadership to break the cycle of poverty. In order to achieve equity and excellence in education for our most vulnerable learners, we must provide them with not only a well-trained, well-educated and passionate teacher but with resources that address the underlying issues associated with endemic poverty. This includes an understanding and acknowledgement of children’s adverse childhood experiences and providing services to support students, families and communities.
