Rob Plonski received his undergrad in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado, masters in Fire Protection Engineering (FPE) from the University of Maryland, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of New Mexico. He spent the first 6 years of his career at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), supporting both nuclear and non-nuclear facilities. During this time, Rob developed several FPE-centric tools employed within nuclear facilities and assisted in the rewrite effort of DOE-HDBK-1081-2014, Primer on Spontaneous Heating and Pyrophoricity.
