FinCEN is Heating up the BSA/AML Audit of Casinos.
FinCEN sends out Professionals who are well versed in Bank Secrecy Act Regulations to audit Financial Institutions. They do not send “weekend warriors” or examiners with “other duties”. They send out specialists whose sole duty is to find and record each and every BSA violation the casino has.
We have recently been advised by 2 different sources that the IRS is concerned that casinos “aren't being fined as much as they should be”. This is troubling information.
