With a background in rural sociology, I have a broad interest in how agricultural policy and programmes are implemented on the ground, and the ways in which landholders respond to, negotiate or resist attempts to change their practices. My research has examined implementation and adoption issues across a range of regional and industry settings including the beef, grains and dairy sectors. I currently lead a Strategic Research Area on Food Security in Regional Australia, which is based in Charles Sturt University's Institute for Land, Water and Society.
