Gamal Abdul Hamid graduated from the faculty of medicine, Aden University, Yemen 1984. he obtained his German Board in internal medicine ( Facharzt) and his doctorate degree in Hematology Oncology from faculty of medicine (Caral Gustav Carus),University of Dresden (TU Dresden . He is employed as Professor at University of Aden and head of hematology oncology department Al-Gamhouria Teaching Hospital.
