Dr. Howard Hall is appointed as the UT and Oak Ridge National Laboratory Governor’s Chair in Nuclear Security. With the opening of the UTK Center for Interdisciplinary and Graduate Education (CIRE), Prof. Hall is jointly appointed as part of the faculty of CIRE. Professor Hall is also a Senior Fellow in Global Security Policy at the Howard H. Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy at the University of Tennessee (Knoxville) and serves as Director of the Baker Center’s Global Security Policy Program. Professor Hall received his Ph.D. in Nuclear and Radiochemistry from the University of California in 1989. His BS in Chemistry was granted by the College of Charleston in 1985.
