For the past decade, Judge John Bowman has served in the State of Florida’s Circuit Court Juvenile Civil and Dependency divisions, where he has affected a wide range of changes to benefit the children under his jurisdiction. During his tenure, Judge John Bowman has called for greater oversight of residential treatment facilities that provide mental health services after reports of abuse, calling for thorough reviews of these facilities and the implementation of stricter safety guidelines.
Judge John Bowman has also worked to make the judicial process more efficient. At present, children remain in the system for less than six months after the end of parental guardianship.
