- ASIAN DEVELOPMENT BANK 6 ADB Avenue, Mandaluyong City 1550 Metro Manila, Philippines www.adb.org Is Employment Globalizing? This paper investigates the claim that national labor markets have become more globally interconnected in recent decades. The authors conclude that the evidence of a large increase in the interconnections between national labor markets is far weaker than commonly asserted. The paper also discusses the implications of these results for different policy debates. About the Asian Development Bank ADB is committed to achieving a prosperous, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable Asia and the Paciï¬Âc, while sustaining its efforts to eradicate extreme poverty.
