  1. A Modellierung A.1 Hintergrund Um die Ausbreitung von Infektionskrankheiten zu beschreiben und vorherzusagen existieren zwei populäre Ansätze. Einen Ansatz bildet das traditionelle SEIR-Modell, welches Gesellschaften aber nicht ausreichend detailliert modelliert, um nuancierte Politikmaßnahmen abbilden zu können. Dies hat eine große Zahl von Forschern veranlasst, das Standardmodell zu erweitern, um mehr Heterogenität und Flexibilität zuzulassen (vgl. Avery u. a., 2020). Die Erweiterungen der SEIR-Modelle werden schnell sehr komplex und es ist unwahrscheinlich, dass es ein SEIR-Modell geben kann, welches alle vorgeschlagenen Erweiterungen kombiniert und die Echtzeitabschätzung der Effekte von Politikmaßnahmen erlaubt.
