🚀 Honored to Welcome H.E. Dr. Tidiane Ouattara at Planetek Italia We had the great privilege of hosting H.E. Dr. Tidiane Ouattara, Head of the African Space Agency (AFSA), at Planetek Italia, where he met with Planetek CEO Giovanni Sylos Labini and D-Orbit President Dr. Simonetta Di Pippo. During this visit, we engaged in insightful discussions on advancing space-based solutions for Africa, fostering private-public partnerships, and exploring joint initiatives to strengthen the continent’s space ecosystem. Key highlights included:  ✅ Exploring collaboration opportunities with AFSA and African stakeholders  ✅ Enhancing sustainability and ownership of EO solutions  ✅ Preparing for upcoming strategic events such as New Space for Africa and the African Space Solutions Market (MASS 2026) H.E. Dr. Ouattara also expressed appreciation for both Planetek’s and D-Orbit’s participation in AFSA-organized events, including the New Africa Space Conference 2025 in Cairo and the African Space Solutions Market (MASS 2025) in Abidjan. Giovanni Sylos Labini and Dr. Simonetta Di Pippo reaffirmed the strong commitment of our group to continuing active participation in future editions, reflecting our growing interest in the African market as Africa emerges as a major contributor to the global space sector. 🤝 This visit marks an important step toward building strong international cooperation and creating meaningful impact through Earth Observation and in-orbit services as part of our group’s shared mission. AIX-1+ Ready for Launch 🚀   We are delighted to share a significant achievement. AIX-1+, the third satellite in the AI-eXpress series and the final element to the constellation, has been successfully integrated into the ION SCV Stellar Stephanus and is now ready for shipment to the launch site.   Very soon, AIX-1+ will join its predecessors, AIX-1 and AIX-1p, in orbit — marking the commencement of joint operations in space.   This milestone represents a pivotal advancement in this project led by Planetek, delivered in strong collaboration with our esteemed partners at D-Orbit and AIKO - Infinite ways to autonomy.   Co-funded by the European Space Agency - ESA's Φ-lab through the #InCubed programme, AI-eXpress is pioneering the application of artificial intelligence and blockchain technologies in orbit. These capabilities are designed to enhance satellite responsiveness, autonomy, and ultra-low latency in data delivery. With AIX, we are laying the groundwork for a next-generation “satellite-as-a-service” concept — an agile, in-orbit app ecosystem capable of delivering interactions in as little as 10 seconds, opening the door to new opportunities for downstream users.   Our deepest thanks to the incredible team behind this mission, whose dedication and tireless work — especially during the final integration phase — have been exemplary. The AIX-1 is the second stage of our AI-eXpress mission. Launched on 23 June and flying aboard "ION SCV Passionate Paula" AIX-1 is cooperating with the first satellite launched, AIX-1p, to add another building block to the AIX project. This mission advances intelligent, low-latency satellite systems by integrating: 📷 Earth observation payloads ⚙️ Low-latency transmission 🧠 Edge/cloud-based onboard computing By leveraging AI and Blockchain, AIX-1 enables autonomous in-orbit data processing, paving the way for the satellite-as-a-service model and the development of a “space App Store.” The AIX project is led by Planetek Italia in collaboration with AIKO - Infinite ways to autonomy and D-Orbit, and co-funded by European Space Agency - ESA InCubed, an Earth Observation programme managed by ESA Φ-lab.

🚀 Grande partecipazione oggi all’Infoday #IRIDE dedicato a “Servizi e ricadute per la gestione stradale”, presso l’Auditorium del Mediterraneo a Roma. È stata un’occasione preziosa per mostrare come la costellazione satellitare IRIDE, - promossa da ASI e ESA e finanziata dal Piano Nazionale di Ripresa e Resilienza (PNRR) -, stia evolvendo da infrastruttura spaziale a motore strategico di servizi concreti per la #pubblicaamministrazione e gli operatori del settore stradale. 🔍 I servizi presentati – dalla qualità dell’aria al monitoraggio del suolo, dalla manutenzione delle infrastrutture alla gestione delle emergenze – testimoniano il valore aggiunto dei dati satellitari per supportare decisioni più tempestive, sostenibili ed efficaci. 🌍 IRIDE non è solo una costellazione: è un ecosistema di servizi geoinformativi in grado di migliorare la vita delle persone, supportare le politiche pubbliche e affrontare le sfide legate al territorio e alla mobilità. 💡 In questo scenario, Planetek Italia gioca un ruolo di prima linea, contribuendo allo sviluppo e all’implementazione dei servizi IRIDE con la propria esperienza nell’Osservazione della Terra e nell’analisi geospaziale avanzata, a supporto della trasformazione digitale della gestione stradale. 🙏 Un sentito ringraziamento ai relatori e partner – Agenzia Spaziale Italiana, European Space Agency - ESA, ANAS SpA, e-GEOS, e naturalmente Planetek – per i contributi di grande spessore e per il confronto stimolante nella tavola rotonda finale. 👏 Grazie anche a chi ha lavorato dietro le quinte, contribuendo con passione e competenza al successo dell’evento e alla promozione dei servizi IRIDE. 🚧 La strada è tracciata: i dati dallo spazio sono già oggi una leva potente per trasformare il modo in cui gestiamo il territorio, le infrastrutture e l’ambiente. #IRIDE #Planetek #PlanetekItalia #eGEOS #ANAS #ASI #ESA #OsservazioneDellaTerra #ServiziSpaziali #Infrastrutture #Innovazione #PNRR #SpaceForEarth
