We were thrilled to launch The Mediation Exchange last week: TCM’s brand-new community of practice, exclusively for TCM Accredited Mediators. This space brings practitioners together every two months to share insights, reflect on live cases, and grow in confidence and connection. 🎯 Highlights from our first session: • When is it too early - or too late - for mediation? • Coaching as a complement to mediation. • Solo vs co-mediation – best practice in action. • Managing curveballs and expectations. • Avoiding “tick-box” mediation. • Embedding informal resolution in workplace culture. 💡 Key takeaways: • Early engagement is vital, but timing must be right. • Coaching boosts mindset and confidence for parties. • Mediation should always be voluntary, not a checkbox. • Internal mediation needs infrastructure, supervision, and visibility. • Honest first conversations set the tone for success.
