AP Exam Day Instructions and Guides for Proctors and Testing Staff

There are specific exam instructions and resources depending on the exam being administered.

• Proctor Exam Day Guide for Digital AP Exams (available March 2026): AP coordinators and proctors can find detailed instructions for how to administer digital AP Exams (fully digital and hybrid digital).
• Technical Troubleshooting Guide for Digital AP Exams (available March 2026): Technology monitors can find tips to help them solve technical issues that might occur during the digital AP Exam administration.
• AP Exam Instructions for AP French, German, Italian, Spanish Language and Culture, AP Spanish Literature and Culture, and AP Music Theory (available February 2026): Find exam instructions with proctor scripts and documents for paper exams with audio components. Note: These exams aren’t delivered through Bluebook.

• Sample Free-Response Booklets for Hybrid Digital AP Exams: AP coordinators and AP teachers can refer to these resources to understand the format of the free-response booklets used for hybrid digital AP Exams.

• How to Administer AP Calculus AB and BC in One Room: Learn how to administer these exams in the same room at the same time.  All other AP Exams must be given in separate rooms.
• AP Computer Science Principles: Personalized Project Reference and Resolving Potential Exam Day Challenges: AP coordinators can refer to this resource if they encounter challenges with the PPR on exam day.
• Digital Audio Submission (DAS) Portal Help: Find instructions for how to submit audio responses in the DAS portal for the AP French, German, Italian, Spanish Language and Culture and AP Music Theory Exams. The DAS Portal Help resource will be available on this page in April 2026.
• Recording Audio: Find guidelines for recording audio during the AP French, German, Italian, Spanish Language and Culture and AP Music Theory Exams. Resources for using the Digital Audio Capture (DAC) App and MP3 software will be available in March 2026.
