Well, perhaps the audience selected was not appropriate to have a fruitful discussion. Or it could be a problem of being more inclusive, and not everyone gets a chance to talk, or you don't feel your opinions will be valued. 𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗻𝗼 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴. In any meeting that aims to reach a specific goal, it is important to make sure all voices are heard. And the sooner you do it, the better. Ask people politely if they have anything to share, and always leave the door open, an opportunity for them to pass. Knowing the people around you a bit better can help on that last one, but don't make the assumption that people don't care simply because they don't talk. Lack of understanding, or lack of empathy, whatever the reason, this mistrust can be detrimental to efficiency and performance.
