Welcome to the European Commission as new tenant in LOOM! 🏢   We are proud to share that the European Commission has chosen LOOM as a new office location, signing an 18-year usufruct agreement on 6 June 2025 for this building in the heart of the European Quarter.   From December 2026, nearly 1,000 employees will move into more than 22,000 m² of workspaces designed with a clear focus on sustainability, circularity and comfort. With high-quality amenities, two lush courtyard gardens, and excellent public transport access, LOOM is targeting BREEAM Outstanding, WELL Gold, and PEB A certifications.   This agreement further strengthens our position as a key player in the Brussels office market and reinforces the European Commission’s presence in the European Quarter. Right from the design phase of our Pacheco building in Brussels, passive and active solutions were integrated to improve thermal performance ✅    Following the 'Trias Energetica' principle, it reduces energy demand, uses renewable energies and optimises the use of fossil fuels.     The building envelope benefits from high-quality thermal insulation, using bio-sourced materials such as wood fiber insulation which limits thermal bridges, the carbon footprint and stores CO 2. It's made from natural materials, emits no harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and contributes to healthier indoor air. Some news from our Pacheco building🏢 Did you know we have a cyclist’s dream bike storage room for our tenants?  With 100 bike spaces (10 for cargo bikes, 78 with charging points), 100 lockers (34 heated and ventilated), changing rooms with showers, and much more, commuting sustainably has never been easier! And let’s not forget that the building also benefits from its prime central location.  Moreover, around 313 m² of retail space is now available to let, with the option of adding a terrace (see the last photo).
