🎨🛠️ Artists, designers, and SMEs: Apply to co-create innovative manufacturing solutions! LAUDS Factories, a Horizon Europe project coordinated by Technische Universität Berlin, is looking for cross-disciplinary teams of creative and technical experts to design and adapt versatile factory models. This open call seeks innovative solutions addressing critical challenges in manufacturing, including mobility, energy, and agriculture.   LAUDS factories, is an innovative concept aiming to create small, versatile factories in local and urban areas to co-create and produce customised products in small series. “What began as a vision in 2020 has since grown significantly. We now have 700 projects across Europe and 1,900 organisations collaborating with the New European Bauhaus – from schools of architecture to science and youth organisations. A real community has emerged. More than €740 million has been invested, and we have launched the NEB Academy to develop and share skills. Skills that are particularly needed in the construction sector.” Yesterday, 4 September, the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation launched the celebrations marking the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus’s move from Weimar to Dessau. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen contributed with a video message to the opening ceremony, highlighting how the #NewEuropeanBauhaus draws inspiration from the Bauhaus — with its interdisciplinary approach, spirit of innovation, and forward-looking vision. Bauhaus Dessau 100 From September 2025 through 2026, the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the move of the Bauhaus from Weimar to Dessau. 🇩🇪 Under the theme “A die Substanz. Bauhaus Dessau 100”, the programme will feature exhibitions, concerts and artistic performances. The opening ceremony will take place on Thursday 4 September at 18:00 in the auditorium of the Bauhaus building in Dessau, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. 🇪🇺 Ekaterina Zaharieva, Commissioner for Startups, Research and Innovation, will deliver the opening speech, followed by a video message from the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
