Enterprise Ireland hosted the inaugural One Health x AgTech Summit at University College Dublin Lyons Farm and NovaUCD, bringing together twenty Irish client companies and senior US industry and academic leaders. The summit, which took place last week, facilitated high-level discussions on sustainable agriculture, antimicrobial resistance, and innovation in food systems. It also fostered new partnerships between Irish firms and leading US universities, paving the way for collaborative research and market expansion. Governor Kim Reynolds of Iowa, Governor of Kansas Laura Kelly, and Minister Peter Burke, Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment addressed a large delegation of Irish and US agtech leaders attending the summit. Twenty Irish agritech companies from across the agtech and animal health sectors participated, including Herdwatch, Dairymaster, Bimeda, EASYFIX, and JFC Agri, showcasing cutting-edge solutions to enhance livestock farming efficiency, animal welfare, and productivity. This engagement coincided with the Aer Lingus College Football Classic on Saturday, which attracted over 20,000 US visitors, many from the agriculture and food sectors. Enterprise Ireland leveraged the opportunity to highlight Ireland’s €1bn+ agtech industry and its reputation for innovation, sustainability, and global impact. Through targeted outreach in states like Iowa and Kansas, Enterprise Ireland is positioning Irish companies to access new markets and investment opportunities, reinforcing Ireland’s role as a global hub for agtech excellence.
