A BIG thank you to our partners at Costigan for supporting Mercedes-Benz Canada’s Driving Your Future initiative by hosting a day of empowerment for some incredible young people from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Toronto and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel York. Along with some pampering and glam, the workshop featured mentorship sessions with tips on confidence, resume building, and financial literacy. Driving Your Future is a Mercedes-Benz Canada initiative that aims to empower the next generation of Canadians through meaningful mentorship. In September 2023, we announced a national partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada (BBBSC). Throughout 2024, we hosted in-dealership events across the country, where young people from BBBSC programs had the opportunity to hear from inspirational speakers who encouraged them to take the wheel of their own lives and steer toward their dreams.   We’re proud to share that Driving Your Future was recently recognized at the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) - Toronto ACE Awards, earning: - Silver in Best CSR or Cause-Related Campaign, and - Bronze in Best Use of Special Events or Experiential Marketing. A BIG thank you to all our partners ( Porter Novelli, Track, the go-to ) who helped bring these memorable and inspiring events to life—especially the Mercedes-Benz dealerships that opened their doors for these events, and the local BBBS chapters for the important work they do to ignite the potential of young people in communities across Canada. We’re excited to have officially launched this year’s Make Your Mark Internship Program, welcoming 15 fresh faces to our team and celebrating the promotion of 11 returning participants to Senior Intern roles. Orientation Day began with a welcome breakfast hosted by our ExCom team: Andreas Tetzloff, René Neumann, Maurizio Zaccaria, Sonja Schneemann, Stephanie Ramey, Alexander Ruf, and Kelly Meirovich. The day continued with a session led by our Product Management team, offering the new interns a chance to see some of the incredible vehicles in the Mercedes-Benz portfolio. To round out the day, our new team members toured the National Training Academy and Parts Distribution Centre. Congratulations to our newest class of interns—welcome to the team! We’re thrilled to have you on board.

“Our Power, Our Planet” is the official theme of this years' #EarthDay. Mercedes-Benz is committed to a more sustainable future of mobility. The key levers to boost progress towards this goal include electrifying our new vehicle fleet, using renewable energy in our own production plants, increasing the use of recycled and innovative materials in our vehicles, and expanding charging with renewable energy.
