  • 💡 Did You Know? Georgia Lake’s Existing Infrastructure and Prime Location Position Us to Build Faster! While many early-stage mining projects face the challenge – and cost – of building infrastructure from scratch in remote locations, our Georgia Lake Project starts from a very different position. We’re well-connected, and that’s our advantage. ✅ Georgia Lake is located just 7 km from the TransCanada Highway 📍 ✅ Active power line running through the eastern property boundary ⚡ ✅ Existing corridor to connect the power line to the mine site 🔌 ✅ All-season road access right to the mine site 🛣️ ✅ Close proximity to rail infrastructure connecting the project across the country 🚂 ✅ Less than 60 km along the TransCanada Highway from our planned Red Rock Converter site. 🏭 ✅ Mining leases secured in 2023, providing the tenure needed to move forward with development 📜 💡 With infrastructure already in place and mining leases secured, we can move faster, lower costs, and minimize our environmental footprint - all while building a secure, local lithium supply chain for Ontario and Canada. #CriticalMinerals #Lithium #EVs #Mining #Infrastructure #OntarioMade #EnergyTransition #GeorgiaLake #RockTechLithium

  • 💡 Did You Know? A 1950s Discovery is Now Driving Lithium Investment in Northern Ontario? In 1955, geologists uncovered the region’s first lithium-bearing pegmatites on a small island in Georgia Lake, about 140 km northeast of Thunder Bay, Ontario. 🏔️🔍 Later that same year, Rock Tech’s Nama Creek lithium deposit was staked — just 16 km from that original discovery. 📍⚒️  By 1957, Nama Creek Mines Ltd had already sunk a 153-metre vertical shaft (deeper than 1.5 soccer fields stacked end to end!). ⚽⛏️ Back then, lithium was used mainly in greases and ceramics, and global demand was limited. While Nama Creek wasn’t developed further at the time, exploration in the region never stopped. 🔬🌍 Fast forward nearly 70 years, and the world has changed. With global lithium demand expected to triple by 2030, that early discovery at Georgia Lake is no longer just a historic footnote — it’s now at the center of efforts to build a secure, local lithium supply chain for the clean energy transition. 🔋 #GeorgiaLake #ThunderBay #RockTech #Lithium #EnergyTransition Photo courtesy of The Daily Times Journal, July 16, 1955 accessed through the Thunder Bay Public Library.

  • Independence Requires Determination 🔗  “We simply cannot afford to stand still. If we don’t build the value chain in Europe, others will,” says our CEO Mirco Wojnarowicz in the latest issue of FOCUS. Germany and Europe have the opportunity to strengthen raw material security and increase industrial resilience through targeted economic measures. A prime example of this necessary transformation is our lithium hydroxide converter in Guben, Brandenburg. With a planned annual capacity for around 500,000 electric vehicles, we are making a tangible contribution to Europe’s independence in battery raw materials. The project is fully permitted, raw material supply is secured, and strategic partnerships – including with Mercedes-Benz – are already in place. 🏛️ The European Commission has classified our project as a “Strategic Project” under the Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA). This makes the Guben converter one of the few projects considered particularly relevant for European raw material sovereignty. Now, reliable framework conditions are needed to strengthen the battery value chain in Europe and further reduce dependence on imports. We are ready to do our part. Many thanks to Matthias Jauch for the interview. 🔋🌍  #RockTechLithium #CRMA #Guben #RawMaterialSecurity #BatteryIndustry #Transformation #Europe
