Mit 550 verkauften Tickets war das erste Swiss Software Festival in Basel ein voller Erfolg und versammelte das Who is Who der Schweizer Software Industrie. Tech Enthusisaten, Software Entwickler und -Unternehmer aus der ganzen Schweiz erlebten einen fulminanten Tag mit hochkaratigen Keynote Sessions und Fachreferaten von ausgewiesenen Experten in über 7 Themen-Tracks. Gefolgt von ausgiebigem Networking. Wir danken Beat Fluri, CTO Adnovum; Egle Bronzini Bronzin, Global Head of Informatics Chapters, Roche; Claudio Hintermann, Co-CEO Abacus Research; Marc Ph. Am Nachmittag ging es ums Thema digitale Souveräntität. Es sprachen Gerhard Andrey, Nationalrat, Grüne, Co-Founder L//P; Marcel Salathé, Co-Director EPFL AI Center, und Safia Agueni, President, Women in Tech Switzerland am Abend. Gefolgt von einer Paneldiskussion mit Patrick Geiser, Oezlem Civelek und Alain Gut. In den Tech Tracks teilten über 70 Speaker ihr Know-How zu den Themen Cybersecurity, Cloud Native, Artificial Intelligence sowie Digital Experience. 📍Yesterday was the first edition of the swiss made software Festival at uptownBasel, Switzerland. The event was sold out, with over 500 attendees and more than 70 speakers. ✅ Great topics, debates, workshops, panels, alignments and action plans. The key questions and topics were: 📌How will Switzerland gain digital sovereignty? 📌How will software be made in the future? 📌What does the advent of artificial intelligence mean for talent training and recruitment? 📌What challenges do quantum computers pose in terms of cybersecurity? 💡Thomas Winter ⛄☁️, Phoenix Technologies AG, co-hosted the track on Swiss Data & AI Sovereignty, stressing that Swiss laws should apply to AI, data and software within Switzerland, no matter where the companies or individuals involved are coming from. 💡Patrick Geiser, Phoenix Technologies, joined the closing panel on Digital Sovereignty vs. Global Tech, highlighting the importance of control over infrastructure, data, and AI. Sovereignty is not only about regulations but a strategic advantage. Phoenix Technologies AG delivers sovereign cloud and AI infrastructure, purely from Switzerland, to give companies and institutions an absolute control over their data, innovations, and operations. 💡Marc Ph. Stoecklin, Head of Security Research and Principal Research Scientist, IBM Research Europe, talked about the cybersecurity in the age of quantum computing and the current challenges and solutions. He emphasized: • the necessity of awareness of cryptography in the products we provide or use, • the updating of the CI/CD pipeline to produce SBOMs and CBOMs and • the importance of talking with our clients & suppliers. He also advises regular observation of regulations worldwide and advocates for embracement of cryptographic agility concepts when modernizing software. 💡Egle Bronzini, Head of Informatics Chapters, Roche, sees a transformation from traditional coders to orchestrators & reviewers, and therefore new job profiles that require lifelong learning, flexibility and re-learning. 💡On the topic of sovereignty in the age of AI, Marcel Salathé, Co-Director EPFL AI Center, noted that Switzerland does not have AI sovereignty despite its long lasting and outstanding achievements in this field. Ich spreche mit Marc Blindenbacher über sein SaaS-Unternehmen Oniva. Dem Purpose «to empower every event manager to easily and securely create outstanding events» folgend, entwickelt und betreibt Oniva eine SaaS Event-Software für Organisationen. Bereits 2019 unter dem damaligen Namen «Zoon» bei Swisscom ins Leben gerufen, wurde Oniva Anfang 2024 von vier Leuten ausgegründet. Die Firma hat ihren Sitz in Zürich und besteht bis heute aus der einen Gründerin Anna Fredholm und ihren 3 Unternehmerkollegen Marc Blindenbacher, Simon Gadient und Marc B.. Im Haifischteich der Eventplattformen behautet sich Oniva durch eine hohe Flexibilität für alle Arten von Corporate Events, durch eine entsprechende konsequente Spezialisierung bei gleichzeitiger Einfachheit in der Bedienung und durch ein hohes Mass an Security, nicht zuletzt sichergestellt durch Swiss Hosting.
