Take a look behind the curtain at our plant in Rastatt, where the all-new electric CLA comes to life. From electric drive units and axles crafted in Stuttgart-Untertürkheim, to the bodyshell components, structural parts, and body panels made in Kuppenheim, as well as the batteries produced in Kamenz, every piece plays a vital role. All these elements come together seamlessly in Rastatt. With the CLA, MB.OS is being used for the first time in series production, enabling the vehicle software to be transferred via a central Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Cloud server instead of various hardware modules. Our vision: traffic safety for everyone. At Mercedes-Benz, we use real-life data to develop intelligent assistance systems - with digital responsibility and data protection. We are now taking a big step towards the future in the further development of advanced driver assistance systems and automated driving functions. We use sensor and video data from the customer fleet to recognise different road users and atypical traffic situations even better in the future. Our aim is to increase road safety for everyone - an important contribution along the road to "Vision Zero", the goal of zero road fatalities in the European Union by 2050. Data is only collected with the consent of the vehicle owner. We also provide transparent information about the procedure, as well as the use and processing of the data. The additional data from customer vehicles will enable the systems to react even better to rare road users, special environmental conditions, or temporary traffic routing such as pop-up cycle paths. The aim is to train the systems with a wide range of situations they may encounter in the real world.

The new CLA Shooting Brake stands for exceptional everyday and travel suitability, combining sporty dynamism with plenty of space for passengers and luggage, as well as a high degree of interior versatility. Whether it's a weekly shopping trip, a holiday with the whole family, or a weekend trip with friends, it offers space for everything you need. The boot has a volume of 455 to 1,290 litres. The illuminated frunk under the front bonnet holds a further 101 litres. Surfboards or bicycles fit easily on the roof thanks to the standard roof rails. Their load capacity is 75 kilograms. And a jet ski or two motorcycles can be easily transported on a trailer. The towing capacity is up to 1,800 kilograms (braked).
