From Japan to Canada: Building the Future of Battery Production ⚡🌍 After 14 years in Japan, Raymond Wong brought his expertise in cell development and manufacturing engineering to #PowerCo in Canada. As a Sr. Equipment Planner, he designs, validates, and scales production equipment for battery cells, focusing on the crucial formation and aging processes to ensure top-quality cells. Raymond’s work directly impacts PowerCo’s efforts to make mass production of Li-ion batteries a reality, advancing the shift towards electrification. Relocating from Japan to Canada has brought its challenges (like realizing that cars are actually a thing here!), but Raymond is excited to contribute to the green transition back home, finding his rhythm in both work and everyday life. 💬 His advice for future movers: "Be prepared for the change, embrace diverse weather, and enjoy the opportunities for personal and professional growth!"

🚧 Main Access Road Completed – Driving Sagunto’s Gigafactory Forward The main access road – the key logistical lifeline for #PowerCoSpain and the entire industrial area – is now complete. More than just a road, it’s a crucial connector to major transport routes, making day-to-day operations smoother for everyone on-site and boosting competitiveness across the region. With the support of the Generalitat Valenciana, the Sagunto City Council, and other institutional partners, we’re building the infrastructure that will strengthen Europe’s EV industry and industrial ecosystem It’s a sign of holistic project progress: it’s not just the #gigafactory itself, but the infrastructure around it that makes operations possible. Without it, we simply couldn’t run.
